Healthy Thalipeeth made from Banana Flour

       Banana Flour Thalipeeth  Preparation Time :  15 minutes Cooking Time:  20 minutes Servings :  2   Banana Semolina/Sooji Thalipeeth is a healthy,tasty and nutritious breakfast/snack in Maharashtra. Ingredients 250 gms Banana flour 1 tsp chilly powder ¼ tsp salt 1 tsp jeera powder  1/4 cup finely chopped onion   1/4 cup finely chopped coriander/dhania 1 tsp jeera/cumin seeds water oil for greasing and cooking Method 1) Combine all the ingredients in a deep bowl,mix well and make a thick/loose dough using enough water.Apply oil on it and cover it with a lid and rest it for 10 minutes. 2)Heat a non-stick tava and grease it with oil. 3)Pour a little amount of dough on tava and pat it evenly to form a circle.Poke tiny 5-6 holes  using a fork/spoon. 4)Pour little oil in the above holes and sides of the thalipeeth and cook it on medium flame till it turns golden brown from both sides. 5) Serve the thalipeeth hot with curd/pickle/loni/thecha. Healthy Upma made from Banana Semolina/Sooji

  Banana Semolina/Sooji  Upma  Preparation Time :  10 minutes Cooking Time:  15 minutes Servings :  2   Banana Semolina/Sooji is a quick tasty and nutritious preparation using common ingredients available in Indian kitchen. Ingredients ½ cup (50 gms) Banana Semolina/Sooji ¼ tsp cumin & mustard seeds 10-12 groundnuts jeera powder turmeric powder 4-5 curry leaves 3-4 chopped green chillies 1 finely chopped onion 1 ½ cup hot water salt to taste 2 tsp chopped coriander shev to garnish   Method 1) Heat oil in kadai/heavy based pan. Add semolina/sooji in it and roast it on low flame for 4-5 minutes. Keep stirring continuously. When done transfer to   plate. 2)Heat 2 tsp oil in the same kadai over medium flame. Add cumin and mustard seeds. Banana Semolina/Sooji Chocolate Cake  It's a delicious cake packed  with the multifold health benefits of raw bananas. This highly nutritious cake is low in calories, rich in fiber and extremely good for weight watchers. INGREDIENTS : 2 full cup Banana Sooji 1 1/2 cup Milk 1 1/2 cup Castor Sugar 1/2 cup Ghee 3 Eggs 3 tsp Cocoa powder 3 tsp Milk Powder 1/2 tsp Baking Powder 1/2 tsp Baking Soda 1 tsp Vanilla Essence Procedure: 1. Preheat the oven to 350 degrees F. Butter  the cake pan and dust it with flour, tapping out the excess. 2. In a mixing bowl add all the dry ingredients except Baking Soda and mix properly. 3. Now in a blender add all wet ingredients including eggs and blend to a smooth mixture. 4. Add the blender content to the mixing bowl to mix with dry ingredients forming our batter. 5.   Banana Semolina/Suji  Halwa/Sheera Ingredients 1 cup semolina/rava (100 gms) 1 cup sugar (100 gms) 1 cup water ½ cup ghee 2  ½ cup milk ¼  tsp cardamom powder 4-5 cashews 4-5 almonds 5-6 raisins Recipe   1)  Heat ½ cup ghee in a pan.       2)  Roast banana semolina/rava for 5 minutes on low flame.       3)   Add 1 cup hot water and 2 ½ cup hot milk. Stir continuously.      4)   Add sugar      5)   Put a lid on the pan and steam for 5 minutes.      6)   Add cardamom powder.     7)    Garnish with cashews, almonds and raisins and serve hot.
