Raw Banana Flour Vegetable Seekh Kebab

Banana Flour Seekh kebab is a crispy and flavourful snack & a perfect appetizer to decorate your party platter.They are not only easy to make but nutritious when made in an healthy way.There would be no better starter than some hot & grilled/roasted kebabs  served with mint chutney/ketchup and onion rings & lemon wedges.


Ingredients :

 Vegetables :

2 cup Potatoes ( boiled and mashed) 

1/4 cup Carrots 

(finely chopped)

1/4 cup French Beans

(finely chopped)

1/4 cup Cauliflower

(Grated)

1/4 cup Peas

(Coarsely ground)

1/4 cup Onion 

(finely chopped)

1tsp Ginger (grated)

1tsp Garlic (grated)

1tsp Green Chilly( finely chopped )

Corriander Leaves ( finely chopped )

Oil/Ghee for roasting

Salt ( as per taste )

1/2 cup Raw Banana Flour

4 tsp Dry masala mix


 Dry Masala Mix: 

2 tsp Corriander Seeds

1 tsp Cumin Seeds

3 to 4 Dry Red Chillies

4 to 5 Black Pepper Corns

2 Green Cardamoms

2 sticks of Cinnamon

Dry roast the above spices and grind coarsely in a mixer grinder.


 Procedure: 

1. Mix all the ingredients in a bowl to form a dough.

2. Grease your palms and divide the dough into 10 equal portions.

3. Shape each portion on a skewer stick to form a smooth cylinder.

4. Heat the pan on a low flame.

5. Grease the pan with oil/ghee and grill the kebabs by changing sides till golden brown.

6. Serve hot with mint chutney.


 Tips & Variations: 

1) For Chicken Seekh Kebab just replace mashed potatoes with Chicken mince.

2) To make the kebabs extra shine and tasty,brush them with some butter before serving.
